The 31st Engineers was organized about April 1, 1918 left Fort Leavenworth May 18th, arrived at Camp Mills 4 a.m. June 5th, boarded the transport Manchuria at Hoboken, New Jersey at 7 a.m. on June 7th. Arrived at ST.Nazaire June 19th, arrived Sauner June 23rd, left October 8th and arrived at Camp G.M.Dodge, Montoir, October 9th; with 67th Engineers, detach service Organization changed September 7th to the 31st Railway Regiment Trans Corps, by General Orders 42, 42 Headquarters, Service of Supply The organization of Company C was again changed to 3rd Co.
